For over twenty years I have worked as a team leader and field-based project manager, surveying limited access assets. I hold qualifications around man management, producing risk assessments, method statements and health and safety planning.
I left this work to take on my own business opportunity (classic car restoration). I have now decided to move back to a site-based operation role, looking for a challenge with significant responsibilities and commitments.
I have experience working under pressure, building and developing working relationships with internal and external customers, water utility companies, local authorities, the highways agency and collaborative working with the MOD, land owners and contractors.
I bring to the work place reliability, attention to detail, strong communication skills, excellent time keeping, willingness to take on responsibility and a friendly nature. My previous positions have involved operating and living abroad in remote areas, under sometimes difficult conditions, with significant physical fieldwork in both freezing, and high humidity temperatures. My CV can by supported by strong references.
January 2020 to present day. Working as first fix, mechanical, hull preperation and paint application.
Since joining the team at Ortomarine, I have used my practical skills to help create some of the best looking boats on our inland waterways. I have picked up a skill along the way for hand painting. Shown in the images below, from first aquiring a fresh newly built boat, to applying numerous coats of paint from, primer, undercoat to final gloss coats with cutting back certain layers of paint, I have been able to achive a finished boat I have been proud to put my name to.

Onsite Central Ltd (special projects to the Water Industry)
1993 to 2014. During my employment within this industry, I played a pivotal role in the formation of a special projects department, leading and managing teams on work ranging from: straightforward CCTV surveys of sewers and drains, through to man entry of underground assets, sonar, chimney, borehole and mine shaft inspections, along with a wide range of survey and inspection projects. I also had wide ranging office-based leadership experience, managing initial enquiry, sourcing plant and machinery, materials and staff to complete the work. In all of this I had to produce Risk Assessments, Method Statements and the Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans to enable specialist works within sites of special scientific interest (SSSI).

Car now given a driveway mid week spray job, albeit under cover in a pop up gazebo and in the very warm weather of late. Here are a few photos of where I am eith the build to date, taken, Sunday 25th July.
Twin SU Carburettors and manifold removed from engine, and sent away to Andrew Turner in Grantham for refurbishment.
Carburettors returned to me as in new condition, will be now stored away until ready to mount.
A crisp cold sunny Sunday at the end of November 2021, a beautiful day for a drive out in my car. After around an hour, I ended up in the small beautiful village of Ombersley, Worcestershire. I parked up and took a few photographs.
Had a call from the guys at Bromsgrove Engine Services a few days ago ( early Dec. 2021 ) the work on my cylinder head had been completed.
